Fall 2010 Awards Ceremony and Winners
We have wrapped up a very hard-fought, competitive Fall Season here in PADA land. We had a frenzy of dart activity this last week, but have managed to get things decided before taking our break for the holidays. As this usually plays out, we’ll meet back up for an awards extravaganza after we flip our collective calendars to 2011. Here is the rundown of the where and when:
Thursday, January 20th, 7 pm
A&L Tavern (5933 NE Glisan)
There will be a TON of awards handed out here! In addition to the individual awards for the division winners who played on 12/11, there will be one player from each division awarded for the most “Sportsman” votes at the end of the season.
Here are the winners of the sportsman awards:
AA Division – Alan Poole
A Division – Jason Pitzer
B1 Division – Laraine Hinsen
B2 Division – Shane Rubenfield
C Division – Casey Foley
We will also be handing out pins for the highest of the highlights (180, White Horse, 9 count) to everyone who recorded one this season. The first and second place teams during the regular season for each division will receive glass mugs, with a plaque going to the winner and runner-up in the playoffs. First place and playoff winners receive the larger of the mugs and plaques. Division winners also receive a shirt to wear next season and intimidate all their opponents.
Finally, I’d like to highly encourage people to come to this if they can make it. It is a great reminder to us board members that people enjoyed the season, as well as a chance to celebrate the league, teams and players that make up our local dart scene.
There will be an A/B or Blind Draw event following the awards being handed out.
