Summer Singles Season
We all know how gorgeous it can get outside and how much fun there is to have outside here in the summer. But, if you are looking to play some darts, we have a number of possible options for you over the summer! Stay tuned for another post going over the handful of blind draw tournaments going on around town these days!
Singles Season – Tuesday Nights
This will be a continuation of the format we’ve used the past three summers. It will be a money league with a $30 entry. The payout will be based on legs won throughout the season with everyone receiving a payout.
Each player will play one opponent each week, and both cricket and 501 will be played. It is likely we will just play at the A&L again each week, but if we have a lot of people show interest and sign up, we may expand to other locations as well.
Divisions will be formed using the PADA player rankings, trying to ensure that participants are playing people of relatively similar skill. A note on player rankings: whether you like or dislike, agree with or disagree with the statistical ranking system or your place in the rankings, playing gives everyone the opportunity to prove they belong with a group (reflects an accurate raking) or do not belong in a group (their rank will change more, which is how the system improves).
An important change is that we will do this on Tuesday nights now instead of Thursday. As we are starting a little later this year, we may overlap slightly with the fall team league season, which will require Thursday nights.
